Pride

Pride

A Poem by LeeAnne
"

just something i thought of...

"

There is a difference

That I can see

And that difference

Is simply me

Not a little girl

But not an adult

And not living life

Like a personal insult

I'm losing memories

Just to make room

For the new ones

Not fully in bloom

I no longer care

What you think of me

This is who I am

And who I'm going to be

So I'm taking my smile

And I'm taking my pride

And I'm loving every minute

Of this thrilling joy ride

This is who I am

Take it or leave it

Just a little advice

You should believe it

So if you can't take me

Just get out of here

Don't ask me to repeat it

You heard me loud and clear

This is my pride

You can't take it away

If you even try

You will pay
