Her Name Isn't Sanity

Her Name Isn't Sanity

A Poem by Cardinal Robin

Her Name Isn’t Sanity

the moment I saw you

I knew I’d been alive forever

I felt my darkness

swirling and swelling

rising, shadows surfacing

through a bitter edged crust

of pure, unbridled power

with a touch of hostility

for “spice” and Style

the moment I saw you

I felt time distort

before you

and colors bled

like the bloodletting of my illusions.

My dreams unfolded you further

with wanton lack of regard for

…anything

what are words

but non sense NOW

the moment I saw you

I became pure

EVIL

pure masculine

pure destroyer

pure warrior

pure Devil

pure Phallus

my single duty

ever to conquer YOU

fully, completely

When I awakened

my face was resting

peacefully in the bliss of your bosom

So soft I may have even wept

uncontrollably, awkwardly

in male ego destroying

soul embarrassing girly sobs,

But you were there

as I awoke

my comfort and Ambrosia?

And indeed, the only thought

possible in my head

other than ravishing you again was,

“Sanity is so overrated”

Robin

:) Lucky girl...
"the moment I saw you

EVIL

pure masculine

pure destroyer" ... says it all.
Well done.

It sure is!
This is really truly amazing, one of my favorites ;]
I love your fantasies, I wonder if I shall ever trip into them one day.
I'd love to live them, have them stored in my brain forever so I can whip em out and skadoodle into them in times of need..

ever stared down the sky?
Its an expierence I shall never forget..

Robin, this is a wonderful piece. To find that person who brings out your dark side and you are one with them in it....absolutely fascinating. I think this line is superb...
"I felt time distort

and colors bled
like the bloodletting of my illusions."
Wonderful piece!

Interesting how your dream is the reality within your arms upon awaking. Thank you for making me smile at the end.
