My Muse Is a She Devil

My Muse Is a She Devil

A Poem by Cardinal Robin

My Muse Is a She Devil

Who am I to judge

the value, merit, intensity

of my spirit singing

your love’s essence

through me in a delicate,

organic balance.

Interconnectivity is the original

Nativity.

In the bond of a handshake

between matching pairs

I found the Basic Us

buoying me up

and expanding my knowing

of Love and Irony.

Could I, You

require me,

desire in You

freeing fear

not freely but perhaps,

No, Truly, really free

and Loving in abundance.

Caught up in our toffee

your warmth sticks me

to the roof of you

and in turn you catch

and release me

for hours on end.

The fish is caught

we feast and lift this

Beast of Burden

with One finger,

so it’s meant to BE.

We couldn’t have planned it to make it better.

Did it just land in our lap?

I look long into your Endlessness

and you say, “YES” in me.

You never broke my heart,

It blew apart the Instant

and now it’s sacred pieces

fill the Universe with Soul,

Yours and Mine,

DIVINE!

Robin

ohh Robin ! this is your most beautiful poem ever. She is a deity....seems to be..not a devil.
She is less explosive... more mystery..she moves along with hurricane velocity... and she seems to be
always an entertaining amusement. this unspoken sensuality is really successful here.. loved every line. favorite. hmm a slick suprising, easy moving poem,

Did it just land in our lap?

I look long into your Endlessness

and you say, "YES" in me. ----sweet masculine wishful thinking. this kept me riveted.

Wonderful how you describe this as an explosive event. Both the wanting and the bonding of two souls together. Wonderfully descriptive and captivating. How marvelous to read your words once again my dear friend. Thank you for sharing your immense talent. Quite a delight to read this morning.

I love this, Robin. The only comment/critique is that "fish" felt out of place with the rest of your word choices/flow.

Divine indeed. Definetly different from much of what I have read of yours. I hope you mean "she-devil" in a good way because the poem suggests such. Well done.

Your passion is giving chase and this evidenced by the quality of this write. Wonderous expression honed to a crafty edge ready for the lovelorn. Super nice writing....
