Crow Duds

Crow Duds

A Poem by Cardinal Robin
"

Crows' BEAT

"

Crow Duds

Circle your fears

straw man the cat

ran away laughing

without the moon’s tongue

“Do me a Can Can”

won’t you “Cannot Man”?

Speak UP Come ON

Crow’s feet sidle along

narrowest single tracks

idly biding time for a better bid

an angle of Angelic proportion

Perception Rare of birdified BARD

“Fie! The feed is poison drenched”

CROWS our friend…

Held up by wire

singed a time or two be four

for lack of truth in lightning strikes

and Union wired ethics twice befitted

electric garland fetid retchers

over stretching corporate flockers

Feathers burning “OH YESSSSSSS! hahahahahaha!!!!”

…*digression*

Return, reiterate

extrapolate expansive Interpol

has a bullet proof

Necromancing Ideology

which reminds me…

“I once killed a CLOWN

The King brought him UP

and I took him DOWN

“Caws! Cause! Of course! Of course!”

So why dampen the effect

of hesitation with consternation

“Great, Grate, CAWS! Cause! Cause!”

Of course I feel “Tony Tiger”

Somewhat half rate sedated wanna be-ing.

The Scarecrow held perfectly

motionless watching the Crow

do an Irish Jig on the Magick line,

"Dance, dance, sweet, dark causation

and while you lose everything in turn

I’ll mark the passing time photo

metaphorically via moving stillness

grooving reverence evocative

of our unique friendship divine."

Interesting intertwining here...

Little boy blue
and the man on the moon
meet up with the scare crow..

and...
the jester... ?!!
just before his untimely demise

Surely...

you jest!

And in the meantime..

The crow..
doesn't really know
his foe,
below...

the wire.

This BEATS all Robin... !

It's GRRREEEEEAT! :)

Very nicely stated. Quite enigmatic. I don't know quite what to make of it at this time.

""Fie! The feed is poison drenched""

I think I like that line best. I really hate it when the feed is poison drenched.

Peace and love,
Gabe

Ok... so, the yellow brick road and Grimm's Fairy Tales. Interesting. The allegory almost overtakes the messages, though, for me. You're got a very good ear, though, in terms of how you put the sounds together.

Fun and playful, wonderful as usual! Maybe it's just me, but I was getting a little bit of a poltical feel from some of the lines... I'm probably wrong though :-) I like the whole scarecrow image in keeping with the all the other references in the poem (the reference to the Bard was my favorite, of course!) and the whole business with "caws" vs. "cause" was clever as usual!

Great play with words in this one. Rolls of the tongue just right. Fun read as always. Interesting play of fairytale like qualities. Thank you.

Plain and simple: This is fantastic.

It sends your mind on one helluva trip. Your utilization of assonance made this poem crisper than an autumn apple... if that makes any sense... lol

"Caws! Cause! Of course! Of course!" Is the most awesome line I ave read in a while. It serves the purpose of carrying the crows cries echoing into the brain.

I also loved the line "singed a time or two be four" Excellent sparkling piece you have here!

Diggin' it man...

Crows cawing poetry with a beat. Suddenly reminded me of the crows in Dumbo, except these are cooler. Hehehe...

Great fundamentals, and a very fun piece to read...

A wonderful piece.
