Pores Of Purrs

Pores Of Purrs

A Poem by Cardinal Robin

Pores of Purrs

I’d like to write

that I turn to you

But the reality is

more like you

seek me out,

regardless

and sometimes no

but usually, often

just out of reach

with deliberate precision

If I play Your game

You’ll gradually slink away

somehow, somewhat self-plussed

but if I remain Alpha

Assertive just SO

Easy…    There…     Mmmmmm

Just like you like it

More so even…

it takes you

by guilt and association

and some surprise

Even through

your natural resistance,

feigned or not,

regal or haughty

I feel you and press

my fingers along you

from tippy toes

to your lovee nose

and sensitive ears

twitching to grasp

places tingling

you trying

not to gasp

nor gulp for air

your hair

standing on end

places on you

alive with buzzing

we become

a something

we sway on

an upward

hyperbolic

epic sensuality

and the warm

fuzzy tingles

like a thousand

tinsel tin tips

nipping static shocks

from every pore

you fall quickly

into a dreamy

selfless bliss

and purr and pad me

with surrender

My Feline companion

Always there

You know you need her

when she arrives

she here to help you help her…

and she comes

willing, open

deliberate,

assertive and

Regal Lovingly…

She is regal, isn't she? Can she survive the inhospitable nature of modern man? There are those who will leave her destitute, only to retrieve her treasures. There are those who will bury her in sand to keep her treasures hidden. Each one of us is her. Each one of us desires her. How and why we exalt her remains the differences between us. Let's do a careful examination, and maybe we can see the faults within us...

Great imagery here, wasn't sure if you were actually talking about cats or not! lol Good job. ;)

A cat, eh? Or is it about a cat at all? Nicely done.

Now, THIS is electric! ^.^
Your knack for imagery never ceases to astound me, either!

I had a Persian cat once. Lovely creature. She would notice no one except for me. She was demanding and independent, always ignored those who noticed her. But I knew how to play her game, which got her obsessed with me.

She would wait for me to wake up (and I usually fall asleep again in the living room to defrost), she would walk around the couch where I sleep until I awake. I would go straight upstairs and take a shower. when I get out, she would wait, and I would pet her for a while, as she digs her claws on my leg (and it hurts), she would purr and stare at me for a good five minutes. This happens everyday when I go to work. I had to give her away because I had to move, and from what I heard, she was never happy after, I lost that simple pleasure too.

I loved this piece because I can relate to it (I am both a dog and cat person). But beyond that, it describes it really well that there is nothing I can disagree to.

As always, your pieces are well crafted works of art, it would be redundant for me to praise them any further for a job very well done.

A wonderful piece.

Cats. Love 'em. Hate 'em. They don't care as long as they got a place to snooze and something to eat. I know women like that as well.

Aww, purr, purr - quite splendid. Tantilizing and calming at the same time. A deliciously tactile read. Thank you.

Wow..

Somehow, you still manage
to surprise me with your
writing..

This is stunning Robin!
Honestly, I had an entirely
different take on it until
I read Nathan's review....

then I re-read it.
His interpretation is
awesome..
and accurate?

Seems so..

Not my normal review of your
work, as i'm a little out of sorts
at the moment,

but that doesn't take away from
the fact that i think this is a remarkable
piece my friend!

as they all are.. :)
