A Poem by Cardinal Robin
"

as it flows

"

Game

elementary was a time

when simple was not yet ignorant

there was sincerity in a crime

and vision of clarity

it was infectious

yet needed no vaccine

one was secretly

administered

unconstitutionally

with a parent's note

like anchovees

gone rancid

you gotta check

the fishy smells

remember that

you cannot afford

to eat just

any garbage

consider what's on the table

weigh it in the balance

which math becomes

practical here and there

no one counts on anything

bet your body wakes up

bet you try to

make something of it

bet you beat the odds

as much as you lose track

of "what game is this?"

hold on to your heat

stroke the sun back

with your spirit's hopes and fears

and bend your melting ears

Vibe the soul jive Beatific...

foreshadow

This is fantastic Robin!! Wow,
brilliant in fact.

I'll be back to elaborate on this review more after work....
save my spot! lol

As much as I enjoy playing
words with you,

not on this piece.

You've really outdone yourself,
and as stunningly brilliant as all of
your other pieces are,
this is my favorite.

Why?
Because it touches one of the main
causes of an infected society.

We mindlessly
eat the food put in front of
us, and it somewhat reminds me
of when I was a child and would
get in trouble if I didn't eat everything on
my plate, whether I liked the food or not.
Eventually,
I learned to like or at least accept
what I was being fed,
and swallowed it all,
yet some of it made me gag.

And wouldn't you know...
I had food issues later in life.

Children learn by example...
Do what they're told (for the most part),
and eat what they're fed...

most not strong or caring enough later in
life to break the food poisoning chain...
and therefore feed their children the
same infected food...

repeat. repeat. repeat. repeat.

and here we are.....
with the same old leftovers,
....new dishes.

Robin, your writing always brings to the forefront
the issues/madness of the world in which we live....

brilliantly.

and I salute you my friend.

I did enjoy that, you've a knack for weaving words and their sounds into images that give off emotions--similar to beat poets and performers of spoken word... i dig...

CAN SOMEBODY JUSTIFY,GIVE THIS WRITE ,
RHYTHM AND RHYME,TO ENERGIZED CHAOTIC MINDS,
WIZTHOM COME ON AND TESTIFY

whats become of reality lost ,in humanity,

it's a high crime of the first degree,

strife malice human greed ,

somewhere along the line,

man kind stepped out of time with life,

it's a fact to be exact ,in the school of higher learning

a professor may lecture from homosexuality ,

to evolution all the answers without solution

but mention God and he's out of a job,,

simplistic gave way to complexity,

feed that child knowledge ,

but don't cha dare mention,

God is the master of all creation,

man and his knowledge,

is a ticking time bomb

mans greed for power,

is a raging fire,

hold on to your heat

stroke the sun back

with your spirit's hopes and fears

and bend your melting ears

BOOM!

damn it they went AND did it

mankind is on the verge of destroying them selves,

or am i living some futuristic nightmares,

children being raised on blood and gore,

TO WIN AT ALL COST EVEN IF IT MEANS NO HONOR,

GAME,GAME,GAME ,,,,PEACE WIZTHOM

Wow, Robin! Children fed garbage as truth. It's a sad reality. There is no one wiser than a child in its innocence, free to cherish life as the gift which has been given to us, and there is no greater fool than the ignorant "adult" who teaches this child otherwise, whether it be a teacher, parent, anyone. I see many images of the many ways in which children are boxed into systems by those who are supposed to love them. The children are fed beliefs as truth. The chain of ignorance goes on and on, unless the child in its wisdom is able to see beyond what is being hammered into its head from the start. Another brilliant piece from you, my friend!! Much love........
