Moment of time

Moment of time

A Poem by Sarah

Just one moment is all I need,

Fill the warmth in the cold night,

Take your hand in mine,

Calloused against soft,

Need to feel alive is real,

Just a moment in time to feel your hand in mine.

Time is an island,

Where the beauty is a straight line,

Freedom is a jungle

In an urban wasteland,

Yet there is a thing to keep the world from spinning,

The feel that keeps me knowing,

I am alive.

Just a moment of time to feel your lips on mine.

Just a moment of time to know that I am on your mind.

To keep from all the tears dropped in the ocean,

Over lovers lost,

I keep your hand in mine.

The sense of security,

Like a blanket to a child.

To know that I will never have to search for the tear,

The tear spilt over you.

To know I have to stop loving you,

For if I had lost time searching for the tear in an endless pool,

You would be long gone from mine.

So just a moment of your time,

To know our love is alive,

Just a moment of time to feel your hand in mine.

Lovely poem. Sometimes it's too direct. Was this your intention?
