Weekend Pt2A Chapter by Sarah
Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one.-Friedrich Halm
_______________________________________________________________________ I went to stretch but I found there was someone on my shoulder. Opening my eyes the memory of last night came to mind and a smiled. I kissed the top of her coppery head and she just snuggled closer. We were Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one. I looked down at her tenderly. Knowing that the goddess I held in my arms I did love. “Five more minutes.” Came her mumbled reply. I chuckled and she didn't like the movement so she stretched and in the process slapping me in the face. She spun and looked at me in the face. “Morning Sie.” She blushed as she remembered how we got in this situation. “Hey Dave.” She said a bit loudly. I shushed her not wanting to wake up the others in the room. I looked to the stairs and saw my father come down. He looked at me and smirked. I just rolled my eyes. We disentangled from one another and went into the kitchen. She began rummaging through the cupboards while I poured us some coffee that my father made. “I like her Dave, its been a while since anyone cooked real food.” I smiled knowingly. It had been a while anyone has touched anything in the kitchen. She began working on something and I went over to the flour bag she had open and took a pinch flinging it at her. She jumped at the powdery assault. “Dave!” I grabbed a cloth and wiped the flour off of her face and handed her the coffee. “You just wanted an excuse to touch me.” She said feigning hurt. “Who was the one practically draped over me this morning?” She blushed and mumbled something. I went over to the messy table and actually pulled out a chair and sat down. I watched her move through the kitchen and make some pancakes. “Are you going to sit there and stare or help me Dave?” I look to my father and he gave me a nah look. “Sorry Sie but you know your kind of a klutz. We don’t need a repeat.” I smirked, she turned and gave me a challenging look. I took another sip and stood to help I heard my father whisper. “Whipped.” I gave him a nasty look as I went to help Sienna. I just stood there awkward not knowing how to cook really. “Cook some bacon.” I could do that. I pulled out the package and threw it in the microwave. I was about to turn it on when Sienna said. “That’s not how you cook the bacon. Get a pan and fry it.” I looked slightly disturbed at my father who just shrugged and left the room chuckling. I grabbed a pan and placed it on the stove turning it up. I fried some off turning it when brown. I saw Sienna flipping pancakes and it made me smile. I took the pan from her and tried the same thing she did. Except I had a hot pancake land on my head. I ran to the sink trying to get the batter out of my long hair and Sienna started laughing her a*s off at me before she took pity on me and helped me clean it out. Once we got some pancakes made and the bacon all cooked. I wore an evil smirk. I grabbed a pot and a spoon and went into the living room to wake everyone up. I began banging on the pot and everyone jumped, before I could be seen I ran back into the kitchen and acted like I hadn't done a thing. They looked at me and saw was drenched and when sienna turned they laughed at her. I managed to get some batter on her face last minute. She wiped the offending batter away. “What happened here?” Amy said. “Dave here can't cook.” I smiled and kissed her cheek. “Its my job to interfere.” I took the pancakes leaving a blushing Sienna behind. Everyone followed smirking at me. Sienna sat next to me and I just ate my pancakes like I didn't notice her until she stuck her cold foot on my shin. “Damn your feet are still cold.” I turned finally looking at her. “What do you mean still cold there bro.” Zach piped up. Amy and Mitchel were laughing silently and I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks. “Nothing.” I went back to eating pancakes and when everyone was finished we got our snow gear on. Us boys went out into the foot of snow and opened the trailer starting up our snow mobiles there were four of them. The ladies came out and they smiled at the sight of the snow mobiles and went over to their respectable boys. Sienna though stood on the deck. “Coming Sie?” I shouted over the engine. “Umm.. I've never been on one.” I shrugged and told her to get on. She slid in behind me and then she clung to me close and held me tight. I smirked before I took off. We got to the steep hill and the boys had cleared a path for the ladies to stand while we test it out and make sure its safe to go down. I took off first. There was a natural ramp built in and I flew off of it. I landed in the powdery snow and let my speed gain as I slid down the hill. I braked right before the line of trees and nodded to the rest to come. Their girls all got back on and you could hear there shouts of joy as they shot off of the ramp. They all split off in different directions. I drove back up the hill and Sienna refused to get on. “Come on, it takes all of a minute to get on.” She just shook her head. “I wont let you get hurt come on.” She eyed the mobile before she got on and clung for dear life. I went slow as I could and we didn't go that far off of the jump but when we did she crushed me to her. I swear I haven't met a girl with a grip like hers. Once we reached the end I got off and in behind Sienna. I was giving her directions and taught her how to drive. We started out going slow often getting stuck before she gave up and let me drive again. I took her through the woods till I got to the place where the sunset is best seen on a small cliff. The small cliff held a lot of memories. I reached the spot and cut the engine. We sat there and looked out over the ridge. I heard another mobile come up and saw it was Mitchel. “You Ok dude?” He asked me that every time I came here. I just nodded to him and he drove off. “Why did he ask you that Dave?” I sighed, I guess I could tell her. “We were young about 8 it was this time of year and my dad had come home drunk and for the first time.. he hit me. So I got on my snowmobile and drove it off of the cliff.” Sienna turned so she could see my face. “Was that the last time he hit you?” I looked down at my gloves. “No he did it twice more, for scaring him. When I went off this cliff I had the intention of killing my self. Mitchel found me and took me back to the house. My father hit me again for being stupid then hit me for scaring him. Once he realized how scared I was he stopped since that day he never laid a hand on me.” She just came closer and enveloped me in a hug. As the sun set I looked down at her and her hair looked alight. I had to tell her. “Sie?” She looked up at me. “What Dave?” Her eyes bore concern and a few other emotions. “I need to tell you something.” She nodded and just waited for me to speak. How do you tell someone your practically in love with them and have been. “Ever since we became close friends in 8th grade... I've liked you. But when high school came and we were separated I knew I had more than liked you and I still have strong feelings for you. That's why I hate that your with Carson. I hate that you protect him from me. I should be protecting you from him. Please understand.” She smiled and held her hand to my face. “Dave I have waited years for you to say that. But you do know that I am with Carson. I can't leave him. I don't want anyone to get hurt.” I sighed and pulled her close. “How are we supposed to do this if we dance around each other and feel the same.” She pulled back. “Dave, maybe things will work out in time.” I sighed. “Does he hurt you, threaten you?” She looked down. “Sie common tell me.” I asked softly. “He doesn't hit but he gets violent. He likes to have control and has vowed to harm anyone I try to be with. I can't have you hurt.” Her brown eyes looked muddy. “I can fight for my self. I need to keep you safe though. What can we do?” We watched the sun set and I looked at her. When brown met green so did our lips. They were warm and soft. It felt right. I pulled back smiling. “How about we get back?” I asked she nodded and held me close. I smiled. I finally kissed her. She knew. © 2011 Sarah |
