once upon a midnight moonA Poem by Brandi Nicole
once upon a midnight moon
i heard an angel sing a tune. singing and swinging from a big bright star a melodic blessing for those near and far. and she sang as only an angel can with selfless love for every woman, child, and man. each note she released was a wish for mankind; healing the sick, granting sight to the blind, feeding hungry bellies, putting shoes on bare feet, giving warm beds to those freezing on the street. her song a prayer to heal each broken heart slaughtering the demons that tore them apart begging the heavens that our souls would find peace and the maddening voices in our heads would cease. she continued to sing until her voice grew too weak and tears flowed freely down her porcelain cheeks. so tragic that her lullaby was made in vain and that the sorrows of our world still remain. but I believe that she will again sing her song for her heart is ever hopeful and her will is strong. she will sing her lullaby of wishes from a star until the blessings are bestowed upon all near and far. © 2011 Brandi NicoleReviews
