Nice thoughts in your prose. I love to sing and have done a lot of it in duets, trios, solos, choirs, etc. At 67 I have still maintained a melodic voice, though my singing range is no longer 4 octaves.
I shall read more of your work to see if you use a variety of style. I'm partial to rhyme and meter myself, though I use other styles as well. It's always good to stay versatile.

These statements in here are ever so true, I say this as I have had a hard time truly belting it out and just out right singing. recently I was able to start singing again as I grew into a more at peace with my self state...
In that is freedom and peace and self confidence. Point to be made this is a quite impressive peace that speaks volumes unto the truths behind song and it's purpose.

This is a very true poem to those who love music. Yet I must say that I'm not much of a music lover. Other than that there's nothing wrong with your poem.
