I wrote this song a number of years ago

When you're awake at night

And you look up to the sky

Sometimes you will find a star

And I'm not really sure

If it matters to you

But you know only love can break your heart

Life gets in the way of livin

Every day is a new beginning

When I broke from the nest

It was like an arrest

These walls are just like prison bars

And I see your face

Then I feel your embrace

There's freedom I feel with you in my heart
