Halfway Numb

Halfway Numb

A Poem by foolsrush
"

I wrote this after hearing a story from a good friend about how his love was going wrong. Things worked out for the two of them after all.

"
When I asked how you felt last night
I didn't mean to imply
That I might really care - about
what you might have to say
I don't give a damn about you
You don't give a damn for me
But you're my baby
When I drove down this old dusty road
I wasn't really making plans
When you opened the door for me
I took ahold of your hand

I walked into the house today
Knowing what you might say
I looked into your eyes and found
That they were black once again
