On Society

On Society

A Poem by foolsrush
"

Part of a series of study work I did with my old best friend, the late Jason Pouroy. He is and will always be missed.

"

Oh agony of thoughtless dreams
Speak so freely of what's to be
As fire smoke in darkened night
The thoughts are fleeting through my mind

Oh golden tint of autumn dawn
O' dawning sun and times so long
As fall the mists upon the shore
The time is gone and is no more

What is the point of all this trouble
What is the reason for all the hustle
Times so short we fill with stress
For where has gone our happiness

Slow down for thought, slow down for sleep
Make fast these which are no more meet
To fit this prison of what's to be
Our very prison of society

Oh, wonderful write.
This takes me to my beach house, the woods, the timelessness, the smokey fire and the dreaming!
Yes indeed, what is it all for?? The rampage of life, what is the point?

Kudos. A delightful sliver of timelessness.
