Studying the Leaves

Studying the Leaves

A Poem by foolsrush

Like an angel flying low
Or a burning neon glow
As a softly written tale
Of how it'd never fail

Like an eagle diving fast
Or a page turned and passed
As a soaring summer breeze
Of when we studied the leaves

Like a candles burning light
When no one else is in sight
As the timing of the tolls
Of clouds which softly roll

Like a herald to time and peace
And the things we need the least
For when the bells will sing
Of the moon there rising

Like a head dipped in sand
Or a broken worn-out hand
As the softness of your touch
Of your love meaning so much

Like the strength of your skin
Or the moments I'm in
While the horsemen always ride
I'd rather be by your side
