Our Jacob

Our Jacob

A Poem by Rachel Elisabeth
"

My partner's brother passed away in November and this is a poem regarding that

"
Songs of remembrance echoed in the chapel in November

Photographs of you summarize your life from a projector screen

In the limo we drink champagne in your name and regale each other with stories of you

We all remain 6 feet apart while we lower you 6 feet deep

Softly weeping in the mountainside graveyard

If you're a widow when you lose your husband, what is it called when you lose your son?
