Ruins

Isn't it kind of ironic how ancient ruins is looked at as beautiful. For example Pompei, a growing city was destroyed because of the wickedness of mother nature. Residue from the ash still lingers on architecture and people's mangled bodies have been preserved. Yet it's a tourist attraction, a place to make a profit. Destinations such as Pompei are no longer recognized for the rich history, just a vacation spot, or a day trip people add to their bucket lists.
