I want

I want

A Poem by Robyn C. Bennett
"

You know life is weird and I totally believe in the Law of Attraction, again I wrote this poem right before I met my husband and I'm pretty darn close to what I wrote here.

"
I want

I want the smell of baked apples
bear hugs and long kisses of delight
I want words of comfort and love
I want us to dance by moonlight.

I want to read by a fire in the winter
while smelling his Drakkar perfume
I want warm feet and hot chocolate
while soft music plays in the room

I want a puppy dog sitting at my feet
along with a smart and sleepy cat
Bunny slippers and children's toys
I want Barbie dolls and baseball bats

I wanna cuddle up to him late at night
smell the Ivory soap off his skin
Tease him beyond his endurance
I want to take him deep within

I want to be part of something big
where you know your love is strong
Our very own family tree
A place where I belong.

I like this poem because of the unconditional warmth and love it expresses; so precious but so vulnerable
I think it might win by leaving the last stanza out, though.
Really enjoyed reading itIts almost tragic in its domestic happiness.

This sounds like a life dream of a wildcat with angel's heart! Honest and innocent.
