The Wind

The Wind

A Poem by Robyn C. Bennett
"

A Poem I wrote at a crossroads in my life, December 1999. I did discover that I was finally free, not from a relationship but from my own personal demon, I've been free ever since.

"
The Wind

Hearing the wind call out my name
Nothing surrounding me felt the same
It wrapped me up in its embrace
My heart started beating at a fast pace

I let it take all of me
My heart and soul were going to be free
Free as a wild and carefree bird
I would never have to speak another word

Pain now being an old friend
Nobody could betray my soul again
Soaring to new and exciting heights
My wings can begin to take flight

Saying goodbye to those left behind
Off to look for what I couldn't find
Freedom and chance belong to me
Finally I have achieved liberty

I could feel your hapiness to be free, it flowed some what like a song. Good job :D

This is really quite unusual, but I seriously enjoyed it very much so. I even loved that line; "Pain now being an old friend" That was really great, I wish I've known of that a long ago.

Anyway, this is really great and it's all still good...
