Here we stand

Catching the mist that rolls off the the sea

Take a deep breath

You're always safe with me

 

Feel the beckon of the water

Deep in your very soul

See the ocean that belongs just to me

This is the place that I call home

 

Can you see the beauty I see

When I look off the dock?

The calm serenity of the deep blue sea?

 

Grab hold of my hand

Let's leave this dry land

Hold your breath, baby

And just count to three.

This is definitely one of your best poems, out of the ones that I have read. There's so much peace in this, and I felt like I was standing right in the beach with someone that I love. There's clearly longing here, to hold the hand of the one that you love, while looking upon such a beautiful scene. This is the kind of picture that I think everyone has seen at least once in the back of their minds, and you've done a magnificent job of describing it. I can't come up with any words that can explain how much I truly love this poem! Beautiful.
