Consequences

Consequences

A Poem by (Super) Heroes Never Die
"

Somebody I used to know.

"
There comes a point where intention doesn't matter
When your words can no longer keep you in the light
You have shown your face to the world and it has turned its own from you.
Perception and reality are synonyms:
The lines no longer blurred, but gone.
A shadow came upon the earth, a tree fell in the forest. The betrayal lingers; it lingers for us all.
There are traces of your sins, a manifestation of your shortcomings.
A constant reminder; a warning.
You cannot escape.
We know who you are.

I have to be honest, I get the last 4 lines, but I got lost after the third line.

This gives me the chills. I did something years ago and it won't go away at all. It socks so I get this ✍.
