What I love is greater than the brightness of the sun

More powerful than water that erodes the earth

Some say it is an obsession of the mind that weakens the heart

I love you now like you loved me first

 

Your unconditional acceptance of me

Gave me character to be brave in the face of death

The undying never yielding support you give

Strengthens me to forgive and forget

 

You are an angel to me, pure as heavens light

I am humbled by your beauty in side and out

The wisdom you share inspires me to reach new goals in life

Your nature cradles me like my mother’s touch

 

Your words embrace me while I sleep dreaming of us

The softness of your arms embrace my fears at night

The warmth of your breath touches my heart

I moan from the scent of your hair as it rubs against my neck

 

I am addicted to you more so than any drug could be

You are my very reason for existing, the light that brings me life

I am dedicated to you today and always

No other person will ever be loved as deeply as I love you

I enjoyed this read. I would challenge you on one thing (if I may be so bold)- To find ways to start each line with a different word, the repetition of "I" and "Your" is a bit too repetitive. I've done it many times too! "Your nature cradles me like my mother's touch" is my favorite line! Ode to the Woman of your affections- what woman wouldn't like to have a man express this to them? Nada! Thank you for sharing.

This is such a lovely write. Descriptive in the nature of a new yet

Sometimes when I read certain poems they feel timeless to me. Like they could have been written today or 100 years ago. This is one of those. I had to sigh when I read this line - "Your words embrace me while I sleep dreaming of us". Its like you hear her voice even in your sleep. Its very sweet and touching.
