Gazing

Gazing

A Poem by Blooming Flower
"

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better". -Albert Einstein

"

She was laying on the ground,

Her eyes open,

Fixated on the sky.

The blue sky.

Oh, how pretty it was.

Some days it was a blue so light it looked white

While others it was so blue that you ached to swim through it.

The white clouds.

Fluffy

and always moving.

Black during the darkest storms

Pale during the brightest days.

The trees.

Always so tall and majestic.

Their branches and roots look like lighting.

All of the different colors.

The grass.

Soft and lucious when there was rain.

Hard and brittle during the dry summers.

It supported her during her every daydream.

Then the birds.

Flying to and from their nests.

Desperate to feed their children.

Then the sun.

Slowly fading into the ground.

Giving the sky new colors.

Pinks and blues and purples

Oranges and greens and yellows.

She laid there and watched

the sky until the stars came out.

Then she rose,

And walked home.

Beautiful words put gently yet visually - from start to finish. Could happily experience what you have - it's such a precious near ethereal view-point.

I do like your title for the site. I do like the poetry. To observe and appreciate the gift of nature. You have gain great wisdom already. I enjoyed the complete poem. Myself, I like to go to lake St. Clair. Watch the Clinton River and the lake dance. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
