Skeleton of a Love

Skeleton of a Love

A Poem by flowerbaby18
"

It may be cliche, but sometimes love drains creativity. Too much mush.

"
Sometimes I wish I never fell in love with you.
But then I take it back.
Because being in love with you,
was the greatest thing I could have experienced.
But the heartache afterwards
brings me to my knees.
Sends a cold wind through
my fragile bones.
Knocks everything against each other
as if my empty ribcage
was the most beautiful wind chime.
I filled myself with your soul
and now I am as hollow
as your love.
I hope you don’t ever come back.
But if you do,
I’ll be here with open arms.
I hate that.

Gee
No mush here just feelings laid bare. Really like lines 7-11. Well done that lady
