Worth Saying

Worth Saying

A Poem by Floundering About

There are a number of things worth saying.
None of them
will be written here.

There are a number of things to say about worth.
For instance an analogy
between church contributions and movie theaters.

There is an amount given to the church or in payment
for a movie.
Presumably both these amounts are worth something.

There are times when a member of the audience wants to leave
before the end of the movie.

Hmmm. That what this makes me say. Hmmm. The first part is what knocks me over. Should I believe the beginning and ignore the rest of the writing knowing it would be worthless? Or should I think deeply about the contrasts of movies and churches? The final line I love. Because 'audience' and 'movie' could have so many deeper meanings or connotations. it could even go so far as referring to suicide. Or the opposite. To leave a movie, to walk away from a false reality? I like this poem cause I can take it however I want and it makes me think a lot, but it's not just random words either.
