Second Life of Sentences

Second Life of Sentences

A Poem by Floundering About

Dangerous to utter even a part of a sentence:

like a leaf it grows, colors, falls.
No not like a leaf

but sometimes weather is warm
and then freezes buds off.

The path of a vehicle is not always visible
and catches you crossing the street.

Paths are difficult to uncatch,
only speculatively present

yet they tangle until you aren’t.

Author's Note

Floundering About
Originally this was "Life of Sentences Part III" (Part I was "Life of Sentences" and Part II was "Afterlife of Sentences". Not entirely sure what to do with the titles. And the last line, what if it were "yet they tangle until what they entangle isn't."?
