Expected

Expected

A Poem by AquaWriter

You expected to little

This night was going to be a bore

You expected little talk

She is so quiet in school

You expected he to be rude

She only smiles around friends

You expected her to be sluggish and eat a lot

She is overweight and always has something sugary to drink

However…

She dazzled the night

She talked about the most interesting things

She smiled and laughed in a way you could never imagine

She was more active than you throughout the night

She didn’t even look overweight in these eyes

We traveled to the stars

And time was ticking fast

But that didn’t matter nothing did at the time except her

Those entire things I thought weren’t true

The guys don’t understand my life

But she does

She made me who I am today
