Trapped Little Girl

Trapped Little Girl

A Poem by AquaWriter

She was once free
Not a worry to her mind
Brave, she could battle anything
She climbed tree, held snakes, and fought monsters
But then she grew...
Now a scared teenager
Her mother complains about everything to her
Money, bills, and even family
She is told to shut up and beaten by her younger sister
to afraid and insecure to fight back
Called lazy, fat, and useless by her father
Even her mind hurts her
She  feels trapped
trying to be the girl she once was
But she knows there is always a door open
...It's just hard to find sometimes
