It shocks me when I think of
The destruction wars have caused.
Worn down buildings, cries of the people,
And a million broken laws.
Blood has been shed and the damage done,
But do not feel despondent.
For I know that most condemn wars,
(Except maybe a war correspondent?)
I loved this..You are really true..War always cause destruction..You know war can never be a solution to any problem...Whosoever wins it , humanity always is the one that has to suffer..This was really an incredible and a well written piece...
Well done and keep it up..
Keep on writing and thanks for sharing..

For some reason a world of peace is not interesting enough for people. Wars are captivating and destructive and it seems like nobody cares unless it affects them personally

So true, KC! Couldn't have said it better. Thank you so much for your words here.
I pretty much agree with your final lines here, Zoe. The war correspondent is the paparazzo of the battlefield; buzzing around the trails of death like a rabid blowfly, asking the most inane questions of the true warriors who face imminent death each day, stalking the despair and ruin of war for just the right story to boost their ego rather than to educate the masses to the true horrors of war.
A very realistic short piece. Nicely written.

I am really glad you liked it, Doodley. Thank you for your detailed review :)
Moving poem Zoe
Yes I feel the sorrow for the damaged buildings > Who will rebuild them> Hoe long will it take _What will people do while they wait > Who will bear the costs
SO many questions > Who has the answers

Prosody, prosody, prosody. The thought is great, and the joke cute. But...because you're ignoring prosody it limps where it should sprint.
Things like stanzas, and words that dance, are the frame for the picture we present. And doesn't every picture deserves a fine framing?
Take a look at the excerpt for Stephen Fry's, The Ode Less Traveled, on Amazon. It's the best overview of prosody, and its necessity, I've found.

2nd line... 'destructuction'... totally not a word. (destruction )
I don't believe in god myself, but I do read the religious scholars. Their logic is generally very sound (up to a point). I recommend that you read up on a fellow named Thomas Aquinas. He tackles moral and natural law in a way I think you'd find very interesting.
A few of my family members are firefighters... they objectively hate fire.
Thanks for pointing that out. Just a typo.

He will sound familiar to you. A book named "summa theologica" is what you're after.

For a more modern version of his sentiments I would recommend a fellow named Alvin Plantinga and his "Warranted Christian Belief". Excellent reads both of them.
Just to be sure... I don't beleive in god or any sort of eternal being or any kind of organized religion. I respect those books and their authors for very different reasons.
this is the sad reality of wars.
and its worse when the first world countries sit and watch and make money out of it.
hopefully the younger generation can make the world a better place
