Fly

This poem is about a guy's dream

He swayed his eyes   

From one cloud to another                                                                                    

Let his brain go wild                                                                                            

Let his imagination slip further...........            

There he was                                                                                                      

In a giant metal bird                                                                                            

And between the clouds                           

A song he heard,                        

 

Of the birds that sang                                                                                      

A note too high                                       

As they welcomed the sun                                                                                                                                              Into the morning sky.

 

Of the wind that raced            

Through the tress divine                                                                                      

As it set off towards  

No particular finish line.

 

Of the deep blue sky                                                                                           

Shining bright                                               

Bringing from the dark,                                                                                                                                                 This world; to light.

Of the hope that hung                                                                                         

In the sky like stars                  

And helped us heal                        

our wounds and scars.

 

A dream so strong                                                                                                

It became a desire                                                                                               

His soul was burning                          

shining like sapphire                                                                                                                                                         So fire in his eyes,                                                    

He turned to the sky    

Determined to rise       

Determined to fly
