Floater

this poem's based on the short story I wrote about them

You got under my skin

infected my lifeless blood

with your delicious disease

and ate away the poison

that paralyzes me

 your purifying words

 bring me out of my sorrow

I see a tiny ray of hope

I know will be gone tomorrow

while in your presence

I find that I don't think

of painful things I cannot fix

Instead I lie intoxicated

as your euphoric melodies

purge my wounded soul.
