Crawl Away

Ok I just wrote this one this morning when I woke up...the words came to me in the shower...lmao

I crawl away from you

on my last ounce of strength

but you always find me

and lure me back in

with the perfect words

to heal my broken mind

that I pathetically accept

and eagerly await more

but they no longer come

once I'm back in your web

and once again I will slowly

fade back into nothing

but your desolate slave.

I really like your poem. And it makes sense to me.
I read it from the point of view of someone
trying to leave a relationship yet a few sweet words
lure them back in and the cycle of pain starts all
over again.
