The cross and the switchblade

The cross and the switchblade

A Poem by floarealbastra10

based on a book I read

"
The cross and the switchblade, what do they mean?
I wondered as I began
They meant he used to belong to a gang
Bad to the core
The son of a w***e
They called him the devil's son
Those were the lyrics to his song

He felt no peace, ever
Him and his boys were oh so clever
Causing mayhem everywhere they went,
Acting like they had no cares, no way to repent
Till one day he heard a skinny preacher man
Talking bout redemption from sin
If any one could reach him this man did
So away with the switchblade he bid.

fantastic rhythm~ I could almost hear the lilting Dusty Springfield vocal power with silk undertones singing this tonal poetic~

of hectic chaos...
