THERE IS NO TITLE #9 (DIRTY LOVER)

THERE IS NO TITLE #9 (DIRTY LOVER)

A Poem by flickering candle

Proceed at your own caution

This is a lucrative warning for those who found themselves tricked enough to have found affection for me

I am a dirty lover

I will stutter when I say I love you

The dishes wont be done but I will have spent the day only thinking about the way your lips look

I will spend weeks trying to recreate the lovely sound of your laugh on canvas

And you know there wont be a hint of laundry done.

I will resent the tax man and stand on couches

My hands will be stained with henna tattoos and paint and my mind with the feeling of your presence

We will eat takeout for days at a time

But I assure you

I will write you ballads of my love that bring tears in ways you never knew

I am a dirty lover

I will cough and trip and spill things

And my hair will never look perfect

But there will never be anyone who could love you more than I will

And there is no one who would sacrifice themselves so much as I will

Because people like me would die to see your smile.

So forgive me for being a dirty lover

I liked the poem. Honest thoughts and great want and need.

Good to roll in the dirt when we are overcome with the emotion of love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
