A Poem by fletcherjo

Easier

Rest a little easier, my friend.

You are swiftly moving, but getting nowhere fast.

Disaster never rests in the worst of times.

You must fly above; set some new eyes on the universe.

Find yourself in that sea of suns and stars.

Rest a little easier, my friend.

Eyes

Unblinking eyes witness a feat,

A revolutionary holds the line,

A sea of suns and stars, night after night,

But they’ll be there for eternity.

The revolutionary gets nowhere fast,

Always new eyes on the universe,

But nothing is known from the moment of creation.

Our eyes are blind, stuck in a time less static.
