why I like forumland better

A Story by fleamailman

living next to an old age home, and still haunted by those memories of his mother surrounded by a bunch of lone silent old folk parked forgottenly in front of a droning television, the goblin's attitude hadn't changed, he felt that face to face socializing ill serves the elderly, relating "...meaning face to face the elderly were shunned for their age, treated differently, etc., yet facebook was not exactly the answer neither, since facebook is ever so dependent on visuals such as one's looks, one's actions, and one's status too, so just give me this forumland here instead, thus let me hide my age, and my appearance too, for their superficial irrelevance to our communication at heart...", in fact, since the goblin was the only one in the bistro on this wet dull grey morning, he had asked the owner to turn off the pop music, whereupon a silence reminiscent of a library had taken over from that point onwards, yet within this silence his mind eagerly raced like thunder across written words as he typed them down across the open slot before him, saying "...so why shout when one can talk, and why talk when one can write it down, and why just write it down when instead one can readily communicate them across forumland in these posts, yet I can still shout when I have to, but why raze my voice where you can hear these wolds clearly through what you read of me now, just words then, words within this silence perhaps, yet you get the feeling that I'm listening to you in return don't you, yes forumland well serves the elderly for the anonymous are never old really...
