upon natural selection

upon natural selection

A Story by fleamailman

“...what a dilemma it is then, that this interference with the law of natural selection results in some unnatural selection...” mused the goblin now, adding “...simply, within society today we both allow to live and keep alive those who naturally shouldn't be alive...”, not that the goblin was into eugenics, only he noted that medicine tampered with the law of natural selection to the point where the resulting humans were perpetuating defects, where prenatal births, birth deformities, weakened imunities, feeble mindedness, and a whole host of other problems could all be attributed to this one human indulgence here, yet without this indulgence misery resulted, so the goblin simply sighed,  saying “...it's an easy choice to let someone die for the greater good of humanity until the choice becomes someone one knows and loves...”
