HEAVENLY SIGH

I love watching you sleep.

Your eyes silent as the stars that
kiss the night, parading their dreams
as you lay on my chest - whimsical.

Your breaths congregate atop
my goose-bumped skin,
giving life to the love that
dances on my flesh, whenever
you are near - rapturous.

The beat of your heart,
reverberates through me in
melodious harmony, bringing
heaven's sigh to my ears - enchanting.

You open your eyes with a smile...

Your lips make their way to mine,
tip-toeing up my neck, waltzing
on my chin, before falling asleep
in my embrace - unforgettable.

this is a lovely poetic...it is the subtle nuances...the little joys that make love so involving...consuming...the thinks so easily missed...like the things along the road as we go speeding by...its the little things that connect us...like stitches of thread in a seam on fabric...one by one they connect us together...

It's funny how I can relate to you in this even though we are of opposite sex. Half the time my husband falls asleep hours before I do and I will stay up just to watch him. Sometimes I wish he'd do the same with me but there are others when I just enjoy those precious moments that steal my breath away. Wonderful peice. Keep Writing.
