The moment my
eyes
inhaled your beauty,
your passion drenched
my soul in ecstasy,
akin a mid-summer
night’s rendezvous.
Your devious smile’s
opened the levees
to the wild-mannered
lust inside of me.
You’ve
crucified me on
your lover’s cross,
made my earnest love
bleed eternally.
Now my libido
surges perversely,
painting the world in
tactile passion red,
pervading my fantasies
without a thought.
if only you could bottle that, you'd never want for anything...
such is the grist of restless nights whether imagined or real...I'll be saying "AMEN" when you read this sermon to the Church of Unbearable Libidinous Souls...
Great rush for a Monday afternoon...
this is nicely written "the moment my eyes inhaled your beauty"...."you've crucified me on your lover's cross, made my earnest love bleed eternally"...nice lines
Passion personified, not at all blasphemous. A tight, titillating strand of prose wrought with seductive symmetry. You let loose just enough to stimulate and caress the senses. Beautifully bold and impassioned at the same time.
Yep.....I read this three times and I am amazed...really taught lines and good crisp language and images. This is my very favorite of yours to date, one because it shows a renewed hope and two it is hard sexy, confident sexy and romantic sexy without being over the top. I think the reference to crucifixion was well handled and tasteful. Super good write my friend, I am suitably impressed.
blashpemous? what are as poets and writers if we do not shake up the norm a bit or a lot...
it's amazing how love makes us do crazy things and lust even crazier...hell, i became catholic once for love...or was it lust? one never knows...only that the relationship ended with me in a hospital
I too let the wild mannered Lust inside run rampant over my better judgement. It was a wild ride. This poem like a rollercoaster shows the ups & downs incurred when we let our emotions rule. Blasphemous... I didn't find it to be, Passion fades and ardor cools but deceit is never forgotten. A masterful write indeed.
