INHALE, EXHALE

INHALE, EXHALE

A Poem by FlawedByDesign
"

How "she" makes me feel.

"

INHALE, EXHALE

You are the warmth I inhale,
And the passion I exhale.
Without you, there is no me,
Pieces of a puzzle yet to be.
An opus without a chorus.

A melody that needs to be sung,
A beggar waiting to be hung.
Accused of having loved and lost,
Heart on the sleeve, a dire cost.
A love maligned, flawed by design.

A rose without its thorn,
Mother tending to her firstborn.
You are my life’s essence,
I need you in my presence.
Rotting away, too late to pray.

Every day I call your name,
It keeps me from going insane.
Grab my hand and pull me back,
I’m a train wreck, set me on track.
Crash and burn the affection I yearn.

Please spare me the pain,
I love not in vain.
You are my all, my Atlantis,
I’d give my life for your kiss.
Life’s desperation, love’s inspiration.

I bleed my emotions out,
Turned frigid in an icy drought.
Awakened from slumber by your fire,
Given refuge in your warm desire.
Rapture, save me from this torture.

Like ying and yang these two come together. Again a beautifully passionate and enthralling poem. You use extremities here to punctuate your point within the poem, fire, ice, desperation, longing and pain.

This is really flawless and raw emotion pours from the writing. Exquisite.

That is just pure genius. I love the way you threw "flawed by design" into it. This is really raw and open, just letting all the emotion go. Very good work.

I like the lines under each stanza, or rather at the end of each stanza. They're like a poem in their own. Beautiful. :)

Breathe in, breathe out; two halves of one whole; two becoming one. The greatest gift in life is to love and be loved. You've captured the essence of this very well, both the light and the dark.

Love and obsession.. how can you have one without the other! When someone has such impact and meaning in life it is their beautiful face we envision when troubled and in everyday life. Here you have a magnificent rhythm, rhyme and flow full of emotions so deeply tied to what you consider "your lost city".. what an abyss to escape to in thought when other emotions bleed dry and life itself has gone cold.

This kind of love can pull a person through the iciest times.. you have too many lines that I loved here to pick a favorite set. Alot of great metaphors within this that brings out your deep affection towards this person.. describing two halves making you a whole.. this person you describe is lucky to be so loved. Awesome and inspirational love writing that I found very unique in so many ways!
