TYPICALLY UNTYPICAL

TYPICALLY UNTYPICAL

Too much emphasis on the mundane
Stagnant and anchored we falsely pretend
Beat our heads with the melodramatic to keep sane
Our mouths wide shut in fear not to offend

Like window mannequins we decorate the streets
The finer side of life unraveling before us while we stand still
We lust and bust to move but can’t hurry our feet
Our fragile nature strengthens our resolve, impels our will

We abandon the ordinary and fast forward
Expel the nonsense and imbue our minds with cruel conviction
We stand alone, embrace the challenge and swing toward
An owl as our guide, we forge ahead without hesitation

Immovable walls crumble in our wake
Stepping into the world and making our mark
We conquer like Alexander the great, defying our fate
Our influence is far reaching, all encompassing
Beware of our kind as we thrive out of the dark
