SOUL FLICKER

To my future one and only. I've decided to turn this poem into my vows one day :)

SOUL FLICKER

I want to know where you go,
when you leave my dreams.
Without you there,
it all falls apart at the seams.
You give me strength
and keep me whole.
When you’re not by my side,
I feel like I’m going to crumble.
Take a step and begin to tumble.
You keep me going
against unfathomable odds.
For you,
I’d challenge even the Gods.
When I’m near you,
life feels angelic.
Amidst Eden,
you call to me.
There’s nowhere I’d rather be.
Your voice is poetic.
The melody reaching my inner soul.
The effect on me is hard to ignore.

You’ve changed my life
like a butterfly effect.
Nothing will ever be the same
and yet I march on through the years.
I’ve given you all I have.
My love for you transcends all bounds.
Once lost now found.
But where do we go from here?

I want to make you mine.
Restless world keeps moving
but I’ll freeze time.
Every waking moment spent with you,
amorous through and through.
We’ll paint the universe with our love,
Soaring the skies high above.
I want people to know
and know they shall.
What we share is immortal,
everlasting and eternal.
You are my lifeline.
I’ll follow you to the grave
and to the other side.
Worst comes to worst,
you’ll always be mine.

Love expressed as only a man can.
It feels as if all the bases have been covered for sure. Absolutely loved the first four lines, they could have stood as a poem in their own right. It's strange to read something written for someone that has yet to be found as I wonder where the sentiment comes from? My wish is that the dream becomes a reality and that the perfect woman for this template comes into your life.
