HEARTACHE

HEARTACHE

Longing for belonging
My heart aching, yearning
Mind weak and fading
Soul in pain, screaming

So I whispered to myself...

What your heart feels
The soul cries out
What your mind fears
The spirit defies.

Crazed by desire
Consumed by inner fire
Emotions fuel my conviction
Drain me of affection

So I told her...

Tainted by your magic
Prisoner of rapture
You've broken my will
My soul yours to keep.

hehe - The reason for no punctuation, is for the flow and the form. Seeing how the lines are short, I did not want to pollute it with punctuation and have the reader pause. It's meant to be somewhat of a continues read apart from the break between the stanzas :)
