OUR FLAWS

OUR FLAWS

A Poem by FlawedByDesign
"

Without even thinking about it, this one turned out to be symmetrical in a sense.

"

OUR FLAWS

Abstracted, I wake to the dawn of imperfection.
As my eyes pierce the light,
Unaware of the ensuing blight,
I feel the pain.
I am scarred from the onset,
I am marked for life.
Tainted flesh,
My stain,
My stigma,
My strife!

Relentless, you march with blisters on your feet.
As you tread the unknown still,
Be aware of ill will,
Shed the impurity within.
You are the rift in veracity,
You are left in awe.
Wounded nature,
Your frailty,
Your fault,
Your flaw!

Author's Note

FlawedByDesign
This one has an odd form. The stanzas are symmetrical in the number of words, not syllables. It's unlike any of my other poems.

This is a great. I like this poem, it speaks to everyone because it's got truth behind it.

Ooh! I like this one as well (even though saying that probably makes me sound like a broken record)!
I like how it went from "I" to "You".
And I like the symmetry in this! It's really cool! :)
