Kaliedascopic Caos

Kaliedascopic Caos

A Poem by flauxxual

This landscape is cascading and I'm slipping with it.
I reached out toward the sky searching for a limit.
When I didn't find one, i spiraled into oblivion.
Reached out and grabbed the first fist that fit the picture.
but the air was wet and i grasped fast, missed it by a finger.

I caught a corner on the way down and saw pink confetti spill out in metaphors not spoken,
so that I could watch my hopes and dreams gather dust knocking on doors that don't open.
In front of me now, a special exit, glistening with gilded potential and pinky swears of clairvoyance.
Hinges rusted shut with lies, dammed by the past, the present like time eclipses.
Ill sit and wait my turn, till she revels in thoughts of company  and opens up.
And when it finally does ill drift in it with the winded, and claim my place as king of everything.
Until then, it seems ill remain a joker in a house of cards waiting for the breeze.

I like this; sometimes it seems like the wordplay goes a bit too far. Could be more minimal with your style.

Like: "I caught a corner on the way down and saw pink confetti spill out in metaphors" is kind of an awkward line. But, "I could watch my hopes and dreams gather dust, knocking on doors that don't open." is good.

PINKY SWEARS OF CLAIRVOYANCE. haha. I think you could make it clairvoyant pinky-swears. would align better with gilded potential.

hm hm and stuff like that.
