Divided girl o' mine.

Divided girl o' mine.

A Poem by flauxxual

I painted you the most beautiful picture.

An amalgamation of the things I feel when I close my eyes and think about you at the same time.

The product of bed's not made in the morning and the love poem you deserved but never got.

Mysterious baby, divided girl o mine, balcony from which I'd see the world.

Sorry I couldn't let the more sensitives parts of me blister in the fire of your steady gaze.

I spent days searching in the garden while you slept walk through past lives.

On my hands and knees trying to find solutions in our muddy footprints.

Till the ants came marching in, waving tiny white flags on black shoulders.

Crying out "nothing in the flowers, theirs nothing in the flowers, the caged bird LIVES"

None of this was your fault, you told me to take it one step at a time.

But I took a handful of brushes and flung wildly at the page without regard.

That's what slow moving time and happiness that comes in recommended dosages does.

I'm sorry.

I put your picture over by the windowsill, behind the stack of poetry with the bullet hole.

The smoking gun is sitting on the ottoman.

Be careful.

The barrel's still hot.
