Aphrodite

Aphrodite

A Poem by flauxxual

Wading undraped in the undertow,
lovely and alone with no where left to go,
casting shadows that danced synchronously in the moonlight.
Her stoney eyes rolled like boulders over the pebbled platform,
searching for a flattened flower in a field of fairness.
 In all fairness,
her face of fakeness didn't phase me,
yet sadly I'd forgotten my armored suit and sword.
So i left her for another time,
no words saint spoken then could have spared her mind.
Her face, smoothed from waves and ripples,
was hidden under the ocean of hair that flowed over top the wake of her smile.
Her fingers wandered, and so my eyes followed in tow,
Blinded, I did not see the blood flood over Troy,
though it did trickle in my dreams.
I am Paris in a legend of discord,
and you are the apple of any eye.
She born of the sea, you are kallisti.
