4 Bucks A Lesson

4 Bucks A Lesson

A Poem by Patrick L. Fannin

Converse sneakers and sticker covered amps scuff the shag carpet

30 or 40 people pile in the hallway of an auditorium

10 more smoke one last cigarette

The band tries to set up without feedback from the mic

For only 4 bucks, come and learn

Learn more about music than you have ever before

More than you can learn from Carson Daly

Come and see what the world is missing

The unsigned artists dont sell special edition DVDs

Nor do they peddle there 50 dollar shirts

They do offer a 10 track CD made in a garage

And edited with illegally downloaded software

I give you an invitation to come and be educated

The experience will leave you needing more

But, as soon as we scrap up cash and time

There will be another 4 dollar lesson
