I've fought for you. when everyone said no
When everyone eyes said how can you pretend?
There is no such thing as second chances with love!
When they said, this past is all you have..silly girl.
You'll never be able to start over again. How can you walk away from something you created?
But I chose to believe in love
I chose to believe in us.

I wait on you to break this cycle
Only to be hurt by every ticking moment you don't come through.

And now I stand alone in the dark
Holding my broken heart
wondering if they were right all along
I stood a fool
And now they watch me fall.

The seed of love you planted in my heart slowly withers like a flower
Actions spoken louder than words
Sordid thoughts being sorted through in my head but even I can't fix this like your words can.
My heart is fainting and who can know if its worth trying anymore.

Wounds of time wounding my soul
A wall between us as thick as my skull i'm beat down and broken through.

This love may not be enough against the elements of life.
Raped by uncertainty and
Consumed by anger.

Wounds you could heal within me but choose not to.
You chose to be weak when I need you the most.
