RAGING WORLD IN ME

RAGING WORLD IN ME

A Poem by Kitty

I'm no different than those around me

The drunk

The w***e

The addict

The lost

a girl with intentions that make anyone afraid and no one is safe

Uncomfortable in my own skin

I fight the very thing that is inevitably in me since birth

And even before time

Adam and Eve’s weakness running wild within me, the ugliness of the world that is in me

 The rage and fear

Are the drunk in me

the scent of rage turning me on, embracing it like an old lover

The w***e in me longing to leave

But selling herself short at every corner of opportunity

This raging world in me

Hurricanes of emotions are the sea of my being, I go from A to Z.

Pride and gluttony are the addict in me

Nothing else to feel but numbness in me

Satisfaction not a possibility

Always sometimes more that he must do

To appease the beast in me

Lost in a sea of people

No different are we

The drunk

The w***e

The addict

The lost

A raging world in me.

wow if that line doesn't resonate with me. Exceptional.
