Cloudy with a chance of God

Cloudy with a chance of God

A Poem by Kitty
"

So many questions in life, in the end he is my Knight in shining armor.

"

What if you didn’t have a plan for me?

There every step I took could be the last.

What if you didn’t love me anymore?

What if you finally got tired of waiting?

What if the next destructive path led to my demise?

What if that’s what I desired?

What if I don’t have any more strength in me to fight anymore?
What if I’ve lost the vision?

What if…

But what if you carried me through my valleys?

What if you allowed every hardship to develop strength that I couldn’t acquire otherwise?

What if…

What if I believed all the lies?

What if I didn’t have the strength to blindly follow?

What if…

But what if you were NOT a man and could not lie?

What if you completed the good work you have begun in me?

What if you loved me forever and even before time?

What if you worked out everything for my good?

..even depression

..even doubt

..even aimlessness

Even falls and dark clouds?

…even the desire to end it all?

What if…

What if it all was predestined?

But what  if you are my knight in shining armor?

Yes. There are no “what ifs” about that.

Author's Note

Kitty
Ive had a cloud over my head, and felt like i lost my identity, i began to question it all when a friend died. in all the questions, there is one thing for certain for me, God is real, hes there for me, and when everything is falling apart, he is always my knight in shinning armor. that makes me smile. like it or not. it makes me smile.

Now I loved this poem. All of the questions that I have had in my head so many times, mostly during trials. You clarify it all in the end and answer all of those questions with one simple answer. Your words are captivating and make me want to continue reading - hoping the poem would go on forever. I am a big fan of your writing because you write in a special way that people can relate and you hold back no punches. Thanks for your words.
